Christmas Dough Balls

        • 90g 1833 Cheddar-Grated
        • 100g 1833 Cheddar cubed
        • 1 x 7g/¾oz sachet of fast-action dried yeast
        • 1x Egg yolk
        • 2 x tsp flake Dorset Sea salt
        • 500ml milk
        • 1x tsp sugar
        • 25ml warm water
        • 225g/ Strong white flour, plain will work for this recipe too, plus extra for dusting
        • Cranberries
        • Sugar to sprinkle
  1. First make the pizza dough or white bread dough. To make the dough, sift the flour into a large bowl and stir in the yeast. Mix the sea salt and milk with the tepid water and stir into the flour. Mix with a large wooden spoon until the dough comes together and forms a soft, spongy ball.
  2. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead it for five minutes until smooth.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls and push a dent in to the centre of the dough ball
  4. Place a cube of 1833 into age of the dough balls along with a cranberry and sprinkle with sugar
  5. Place oin a baking tray and cook in a hot oven 190c for 20 minutes.
  6. Serve warm
